shopping in garden city was very fruitful...wahahaha...bought 2 books from the Inheritance cycle (more widely known as the Eragon series)...super happy!!!! Of cos, I did went to look around at some of the new arrivals and "Forever New" was amazing. bought a nice metallic hairband with a flower there and it was love at 1st sight~

Clubbing at Deen then Asia Cocktail night at metrocity. Deen was very enjoyable this time without some whiney people. should have just stayed there. haha now i remembered seeing a pervertically-laughable (i had to invent this phrase) inflatable figure of a naked female at the Deen. haha it was really very funny cos the only signs that the "balloon" was female is the breasts. and cos the balloon was losing a bit of air, it was kinda flacid and weird and quite boring. LOL. anyways, Asia cocktail was too crowded even though metro was big. can't even breathe on there! they shd have more space to dance rather then jus having balconies for ppl to look down unto the dance floor. BORING~~~!!!!

had only 3.5hrs of sleep before working in the morning. dead tired man. luckily it was not that busy considering we had more than enough staff. so its not too bad. slept late though cos i was reading my books. hehehe ^o^

I hate my life somtimes. have to wake up 9am everyday until friday even though this is study break. sianzzzz....have ecology field trip. i chose the easiest project i think, which is just veg and ants sampling. haha luckily i have good groupmates which makes my job so much easier. haha cos they are all so knowledgeable and most of them are working in environmental-related fields, I don't need to contribute much. yay! came back feeling so tired and sore on my calfs that i slept at 8pm.
Mon 29/9
woke up at 6.30am. first time ever for sch stuff. haha feels good to have all the time in the morning to prepare, unlike my usual rush. had to pack my own lunch cos today was public hol so no cafes are open in school. but it was blazing hot and as we got to the swamp area, it was just impossible to do anything there. the vegetation was covered all the way from ground up to tree level. and everyone had small scratches and cuts trying to trek through. my demonstrator was really "passionate" about his job as he just pushed through the bushes to help us plot out the quadrat. really his arms were just scratch-full. haha after this project, i m sure this is NOT what i wanna do for a career.
Tues 30/9
woke up with a burnt shoulder and shocking---burnt scalp. (ref to pic below)
see the reddish area? yeah....definitely felt painful and exceptionally warm to touch this morning.
seriously i was shocked. it was just a small area that was exposed...the australian sun is really deadly (=,=)
and i woke up to see 2 mosquito bites on my finger joints...it's quite strange to have them there...is there lots of blood to suck in such a bony area? hmm....
but anyway the mosquitoes here are denitely larger (not really fatter) than those in singapore. and i can feel them when they sting me out in the field.
anyway today we had a rest in the lab to indentify all the plants and collate data. so tmr we will be out in the field once again to collect the ants. sighs....there goes my perth royal show...
